Ulhasnagar: In a shocking incident that unfolded in Ulhasnagar, a shop worker Pawan Pahuja reportedly murdered his wife Neha and daughter Roshni with a sharp weapon in the early hours of Wednesday before committing suicide by hanging himself. Prior to his death, Pahuja recorded a video expressing his despair over financial difficulties, which has since come to light. The Ulhasnagar police are currently investigating the case.
Pahuja lived with his family in Camp No. 1 and worked at a jewelry-making shop. His meager salary barely supported the household. The family had recently suffered the loss of their young child, which had taken a significant emotional toll on Pahuja. His daughter had just passed her standard 10 exams with good marks.
In the video recorded before his suicide, he stated that he was ending his life due to financial struggles and took full responsibility for the tragic events, urging viewers not to blame anyone else.
Upon receiving information about the incident on Thursday, the Ulhasnagar police rushed to the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. The bodies of the three family members were sent to a central hospital for autopsy.
The police have registered an accidental death report in this case, handing over the bodies to the relatives.
Deputy Police Commissioner Sachin Gore stated that initial inquiries suggest Pahuja was overwhelmed by financial difficulties, with debts amounting to Rs 15 lakh.
