Kamra rattles Nirmala, economy

Mumbai: After sharp ‘gaddar’ barbs at MahaYuti ally Shiv Sena President and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s pet theme of ‘Viksit Bharat’, stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra on Wednesday trained guns on Nirmala Sitharaman and the Indian economy.

Releasing a new poetic video, Kamra musically lamented how the tax-payers’ money is going ‘hawa-hawai’ (frittered away) in schemes, and that the central government has come to ruin the roads.

The Metro is in their thoughts and they relax after digging up, leading to traffic congestion on the roads, crashing down bridges, and these are examples of ‘dictatorship’.

Kamra said it makes no difference to them if the peoples’ aspirations are binned, or if corporate employees pay more tax than the corporates, as is in the national interest

He rued that the huge inflation in the country has come with the Central government, and the ‘sariwali didi’ has come to loot peoples’ earnings and rob their salaries. The woman, Nirmala-tai is also crushing the middle-classes, feeding popcorn to the masses, he added.

In parting shot, Kamra declared: “She is the JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) that the country deserves. It's Nehru’s mistake that she was educated there. If she had studied at the Benares Hindu University, she would have made a better Finance Minister.”

With the mileage of the raging controversy of the past four days, the new video quickly notched up almost six lakhs views, 30K likes and 6K-plus likes and comments.

Kamra, who is facing a political ire, several police complaints and summons from Mumbai Police, is presently in Puducherry.
