Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) are undergoing a major infrastructure transformation, with Metro corridors, tunnels, bridges, roads and new growth centres reshaping the region’s mobility and economic geography. At the centre of this transformation is the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), which is pursuing an integrated approach aimed at reducing travel time, decentralising growth and creating a more connected metropolitan region.
