BSF foils infiltration bid in Jammu’s Samba sector, kills 7 terrorists, destroys Pak post

The Border Security Force (BSF) announced on Friday that it successfully prevented a major infiltration attempt along the India-Pakistan border in Jammu’s Samba district. In the operation, seven terrorists were killed, and a Pakistan Rangers post was destroyed.

A BSF spokesperson said the incident took place during the night of May 8 and 9, when a “large group” of terrorists was spotted by border surveillance systems trying to enter Indian territory.

The infiltration attempt was reportedly supported by gunfire from the Dhandhar post manned by the Pakistan Rangers.

BSF troops acted quickly, eliminating seven infiltrators and causing significant damage to the Dhandhar post. The BSF also released thermal imaging video that showed the post being destroyed.

Following recent tensions between India and Pakistan, security along the border has been tightened. The latest escalation comes in the wake of the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which was followed by Indian strikes targeting terror infrastructure across the border in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
