Air India Express pilot suffers fatal cardiac arrest after landing

An Air India Express pilot tragically died of a cardiac arrest at Delhi airport on Wednesday evening (April 9, 2025), shortly after safely flying a Srinagar-to-Delhi flight.
The airline confirmed that the pilot was taken to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
According to several airline staff members, the pilot, Armaan, vomited inside the aircraft after landing in Delhi.
He later collapsed at the airline’s dispatch office at IGI Airport due to a cardiac arrest and was immediately rushed to a hospital. Doctors declared him brought dead.
“We deeply regret the loss of a valued colleague due to a medical condition. Our thoughts are with the family during this time of profound grief. We are extending all possible assistance to them as we all cope with this tremendous loss. We request all concerned to respect privacy at this time and avoid unnecessary speculation while we commit to assisting the relevant authorities in due process,” an Air India Express spokesperson said.
